Frank De La TorreSanta Paula, CAFrank De La Torre entered into Heaven on June 7, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by his children, son in law and caregiver.Frank was born on July 8 1928 in Los Angeles, Ca. To Quirino and Cruz De La Torre.Dad lived his life to the fullest often sharing his stories with family and friends. He enjoyed gatherings at Steckal Park with fundraising Bar B Que's especially celebrations for Veterans.Dad had a way of making friends and never forgetting their names as a child he was taken to pick fruit with his parents and other siblings sometimes traveling as far as Salinas, CA and thru out California. He learned early in his life about work ethics. He was a wondering soul through out his teenage years but no matter what he always made his way back home to his parents.Frank married his wife Virginia "Kino" in 1949 and they raised three children Lorraine, Dianne, and Frank JR and made his home here in Santa Paula until his final journey.He was a great son to his parents always making sure that they were okay and visiting with them often. When his mother went to the convalescent he would stop by daily after work to brush her hair. He'd take her around the facility to see the flowers and just enjoy his time with her he even stop smoking because he didn't want to harm her health any farther.He enjoyed his spending time with his siblings and he always made sure that he was available for his brother Louie, Teresa until their passing.When his wife became very ill he learned to devote his time to her and her needs until her final moments and because of her he began to pray again. He made sure he always had his wife picture at his bedside and would kiss her picture after his prayers. His greatest pride was becoming a grandfather, great grandfather and a great -great grandfather.He so loved his family and went that extra mile for them no matter what. He will be missed but mostly his sense of humor.Frank's loved and took pride working as a Truck Driver for Livingston Graham and Cal Mat where he was a Cement Driver.Frank was preceded in death by his wife Virginia De La Torre daughter Dianne Molina parents Quirino and Cruz De La Torre brothers Manuel, Luis and Tereso. and his sister Carmen.He is survived by his Daughter Lorraine (Rigo) Sanchez of Arlington, Texas. Son Frank De La Torre JR (Peggy Hardwood) of Oxnard, CA. Sisters Mary Flores of Santa Paula, CA. Henrietta Eichert of Lakewood, CA. Grandchildren Henry Aguilar (Jestina) Samantha Anderson (Juan Arevalo) Joseph Molina (Salwa) Jocelyn Molina, Haley Hardwood, Rigo Sanchez, Angel Sanchez. Great grandchildren: Jennece Sanchez, Ashley, Christopher, Seth and Vincent Arevalo. Domanic and Drew Aguilar, Dianne Molina, Tristan and Aria Sanchez, Great- Great Grandson Hunner Cavender.Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-5:00pm Wednesday June 14, 2017 at Church of Angels, 600 E. Pleasant Street, in Santa Paula. followed with the recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm at Saint Sebastian Catholic Church 235 N. 9th Street in Santa Paula, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am, Thursday, June 15, 2016 at Saint Sebastian Catholic Church 235 N.9th Street in Santa Paula.
