Daul, Francis RaymondFrancis R. Daul, 80, of Lena, IL, passed away on June 26, 2017 at FHN. He was born on February 3, 1937 in Luxemburg, WI, to Anton and Evelyn Daul. He graduated from Luxemburg High School in 1955. From 1955 to 1961, he served in the
Army National Guard. He attended UW-Madison and received a certificate in Dairy Management. In 1962 he attended WSU-Oshkosh, where he didn't receive a degree, but instead a wife of 48 years. He married Barbara Schneider on October 5, 1968 in Oshkosh, WI. He worked as a cheese maker, cheese plant manager, and dairy consultant. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church, the Knights of Columbus, and a past member of the Lena Lions Club and various dairy organizations. His hobbies included boating, fishing, hunting, reading, technology, eating, watching the Packers, and being a cheese aficionado. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Daul; 4 children, Julie Amendt, Doug Daul (fiancee Stefanie Corbett), Diana Jansen (Jeff), Colleen Williamson (Glen); 7 grandchildren, Christopher and Erin Amendt, Aiden and Graham Jansen, Alex,Isaac, and Elliana Williamson; siblings, Margie Tlachac, Barbara DeNoble, Sharon Ettien, Brian Daul (fiancee Cruz), and Debbie Heurkens (Randy). He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Anthony and Donald Daul; nephew, Jason Daul; and brothers-in-law, Alan "Roger" DeNoble and Eddie Tlachac. Family and friends may visit at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 5930 Humboldt Rd, Luxemburg, on Saturday September 2, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Father Lukee officiating.
