RACINE - Francine M. (nee: Bovi) Eickhorst, 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at her daughters residence. Francine passed away peacefully with her daughter, Traci and faithful canine companion, Riggs by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on March 31, 1936, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Mary Ellen (nee: Saculla) Bovi. Francine was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1954”. On September 14, 1963 Francine was untied in marriage to James H. Eickhorst in Waukegan, IL. She was a member of the Racine Commission on Human Rights; she was a bookkeeper for The Gladiators, Milwaukee Rent to own and Sheridan Home healthcare. Most of all, Francine was a homemaker and Mother. She Mothered and guided everyone’s children. She helped care for everyone and was always thinking of her family and friend’s well-being. Francine Loved spending time with her friend, family and especially her Grandchildren. Everyone looked to her for love, guidance and support.She never put herself first. Francine also loved visiting with her friends and canine companions at the Dogs Day Inn, dog Park. She spent several hours at the park every day. She enjoyed her trips to Vegas, the girls and cousins weekends. She enjoyed cooking and everyone will miss her meatballs, sauce, breads and the special Easter bread that she made for everyone. Surviving are her three sons, Mark (Jeri) Passarelli of Porter, IN, Jeffrey (Crystal) Passarelli of Racine and James (Amanda) Eickhorst Jr., of Racine; three daughters, Leslie (Fred) Rugg of Wausaukee, Kelly (Thomas) Molinaro of Kenosha and Traci (Tony) Eaton of Racine; 11 grandchildren, Chad Passarelli, Keegan Passarelli, Dominic Eickhorst, Jeremy Rugg, Nicholas Rugg, Eugene Madsen, Ashley Madsen, Derrick Turner, Anthony Eaton Jr., Timothy Eaton and Thomas Eaton, 8 Great Grandchildren, a very special niece that she loved more like her daughter Shelley Scott of Racine, sister Valencia Thornton of Racine, brother Frank (Nancy) Bovi of Las Vegas, NE. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, special relatives and many close Friends. Francine was preceded in death by her husband, Jim on October 27, 2000, her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert and Martha Eickhorst, niece Kim Sanders and nephew, David Thornton. Private services were held. Francine was laid to rest next to her husband, Jim at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to Karen A. Nelson Dog Park have been suggested by the family.
