Frances Elsie Sass, 78, of Cedar Grove, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at her home. Frances was born on June 1, 1939, in Cedar Grove, WI to William and Elsie (Neerhof) Brasser. She was a 1957 graduate of Cedar Grove High School. On June 4, 1960, Frances married Robert in Calvary OPC in Cedar Grove. Frances was employed at Cedar Grove-Belgium School District until her retirement in 1995.She was a lifetime member of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove where she served as a Sunday School teacher and an active member of the Esther Society. She enjoyed reading, decorating, attending Holland Fest, and spending time with her grandchildren. Frances is survived by her husband, Robert Sass of Cedar Grove; daughter, Lori (Doug) Smit of Doon, IA; two sons, Rob (Mary) Sass of Sheboygan, Jon (Kris) Sass of Cedar Grove; nine grandchildren, David (Trisha) Smit, Dustin Smit, Kelsey Smit, Robbie Sass, Samantha Sass, Lucas Sass, Katie Sass, Emily Sass, and Lyndsay Sass; one great-grandchild, Parker Smit; one sister-in-law, Mary Ashley; one brother-in-law, Richard (Debbie) Sass; and a nephew, Michael Sass. Frances was preceded in death by her parents William and Elsie Brasser; her twin brother, Fred Brasser; parents-in-law, Walter and Frances Sass; and brother-in-law, Richard Ashley.A funeral service to celebrate Frances' life will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017, at 12:00 pm at Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove with Rev. David Cornette officiating. A burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.Relatives and friends may greet the family at Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm.
