Frances was born in La Garita, Colorado to Ben and Helen Gallegos, Frances was third in line of 8 children.Ben, Helen, brother Bobby, and Sister Rose Await her in heaven. Brothers Henry and Archie as well as Sisters Dora,Ida and Sara are still with us.

On July 23rd,1966,in Center, CO. Frances married Macario Orlando Quintana. 1 year later they moved to Colorado Springs, Co. Bought a house and began raising a family.Macario and Frances had 5 children, they lost young Brenda, the oldest of the 5, at age 13 in a car accident, and she is survived by daughters, Debbie and Lorraine, and sons Macario Jr. And Manuel. Frances also enjoyed the company of 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

In 1996, 1 day past christmas, Frances and family suffered the loss of Macario Sr. to a blood clot in his left lung. Macario had been permanently injured in a fall that left him on crutches in the early 70's, and Frances stepped to the challenge taking care of him and their family. She retired 5 years later from Hewlett and Packard after 27 years of service. Frances spent last 2 years living in Byers, CO. With daughter Debbie and family, who took care of her every need until the very end. She passed at 10:55 PM Monday evening Feb. 4th at the age of 75 surrounded by her immediate family in her home in Byers, CO. She was loved and respected by all who had the privelage of knowing her, and her loss has been felt by many.
