She attended Rio Grande High School. She spent most of her summers with relatives and friends in Las Vegas, including her special uncle, Eliseo Esquibel. She moved back to Las Vegas in the late 60's. She met the love of her life and they were united in marriage on Aug. 28, 1970. She attended Luna Community College (L.V.T.I.) and worked with numerous doctors in Las Vegas at the hospital and clinics, which she talked about all the time. Her favorite position was working in the OB Ward with Dr. Halverson. She and Ralph went on to opening their first restaurant, "La Cocina." They then opened their legendary staple of Las Vegas, "El Rialto" on Dec. 19, 1975. She was famous for cooking her favorite dishes, which she shared with the community. Everyone know her for being generous, loving, considerate, compassionate, and trustworthy. She was not only the strongest person our family has ever known, but she was hardworking and was a perfectionist with her food. She truly enjoyed vacationing with her family, getting together with her kids, and grand kids, and laughing or reminiscing with friends at the El Rialto. Her pride and joy were her kids and grand kids and for her oldest son, Ralph Daniel for pursuing his dream of becoming a paramedic; Abraham for pursuing his career in music; Elizabeth for becoming a legal secretary, and Gabriel for completing his schooling in graphic design. She was always proud of her kids and their accomplishments. Needless to say, she bragged a lot about her beautiful family, especially her husband for always taking good care of her. She will be truly missed by everyone that she came in contact with. She was always grateful for her long time doctors, Eileen Madrid and Joseph Lopez.Services will be held today (Monday) beginning with a rosary at 10 a.m. followed by a special eulogy to be delivered by her longtime friend, Honorable Matthew J.
