LONDON - Fount Deaton, age 91, of Miamisburg, formerly of London, KY, passed away Wed, Nov 30, 2016. Fount was born on December 17, 1924 in Clay County, KY to Robert and Lillie (Rowland) Deaton. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII where he drove Sherman Tanks in many battles including "The Battle of the Bulge". Fount was a member of Far Hills Masonic Lodge #784 and Scottish Rite. He enjoyed being outside doing yard work and gardening. Fount is preceded in death by his parents; brother; Oscar Deaton; and sisters, Cleo Cheek and Eula Deaton. He is survived by his daughter, Michele (Dr. D. Greg) Palmer and son Michael Deaton; grandchildren, Michael Greg (Caroline) Palmer, Robert Fount Palmer, and Lillie Marie Deaton; and sister, Chloe Deaton. Funeral services for Fount Deaton will be conducted on Sun, Dec 4 at 2pm in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with full military honors being presented by the local D.A.V. Burial will follow in the Deaton Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12pm until the funeral hour, also on Sunday at the funeral home. A special thanks to all of the care takers who took care of Mr. "D".
