Forrest Grant JemmettDecember 28, 1920 - November 11, 2014Forrest "Grant" Jemmett, 93, of Notus, died Tuesday November 11, 2014 at a Nampa care facility of natural causes. Grant was born on December 28, 1920 in Shelley, Idaho to Fredrick and Anna Jemmett. He married Vendla Mary Robinson in January 1942, and they had three children: son Coy, daughter Corrine, and son Kerry. He was a farmer in the Notus area most of his life; raising potatoes, corn, grain, sugar beets, and hay. He also raised registered Black Angus cattle, milk cows, pigs, horses and mules.Grant was very involved in the community. He was on the Canyon County Mounted Sheriff's Posse, Notus School Board, the Boise River Flood Control Board, and the Idaho Fish & Game Reservist for 20 years. Grant enjoyed hunting, especially elk, deer, turkey and pheasants. He also loved the Idaho Mountains.Grant is preceded in death by his wife and his son Kerry. He is survived by his sister, son and daughter, 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held Friday November 14, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens [corner of Karcher and Indiana in Caldwell]Condolences can be given at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com
