He was born March 10,1954 in Fleming Co., KY to the late Dewey and Girlie Hall Newsome. On October 4, 1952 he married Ruth Crawford, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter Daphney Hosey of Tampa, FL.; 6 grandchildren, Harley, Kayana, Taylor, Tyler, Damion and Auna; a brother, Russell (Mildred) Newsome, Maysville, KY; a sister, Phyllis O'Cull, Lexington, KY; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela; two sisters, Nadean and Meredith; and a brother, Frank.

Mr. Newsome was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired after 25 years of service from the Pennington Baking Company. He was a member of the Bridge St. Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday 09/14/2019 /at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Glenn Anderson officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the US Army, will follow in Highlawn Memorial Gardens, Washington Court House, OH. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral at Haller's on Saturday.
