Florine Etta Sites, 91, of Watseka passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka.  She was born on August 29, 1925 in Cissna Park, the daughter of Alpheus Nathan and Lillie Lydia Roll Miller.  She married Paul Sites in Hoopeston on November 6, 1949 and he preceded her in death on September 13, 1987.  Survivors include one daughter, Paula Sites (Robin Kares) of Indianapolis, IN; one daughter-in-law, Brooke McClurg Sites of Wheaton; two sisters, Norma Duling and Verna Looker of Watseka; two grandchildren, Marc (Vickie) Sites of Colorado Springs, CO and Eric Sites of Chicago; two great-grandchildren, Bricen Sites and Rhiannon Sites; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, Florine was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Cecil and Earl Miller; and one son, Steven Sites. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Watseka where she served as a Sunday school teacher and volunteered in many other roles.  Florine enjoyed knitting and playing Yahtzee, and was active at the Senior Center both as a volunteer and a participant.  Although her childhood education ended with the 8th Grade, she earned her GED at the age of 70.  She didn't work outside the home while her children were growing up, but later became involved as a Middleport Twp. Trustee until retiring at the age of 80. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.   Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the First Christian Church in Watseka with Pastor Ben Stone and Associate Pastor Roy Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.  Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in Watseka.
