Fern K. Wilkinson Reslink, age 65, lifetime resident of North East, died peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 19, 1951, in Erie, Pa., to the late Leonard Wilkinson and Mary Bennett Wilkinson Stitt. Fern was employed at David F. Drabic Builders as a woodworker and finisher and the Brotherhood of St. Joseph as a cook and waitress. Fern will forever be remembered for her delicious soups. She was a member of the Brotherhood of St. Joseph, Spiritual Guidance, and The Hen Party. Fern was a talented artist who enjoyed ceramics, knitting, crocheting, quilting, drawing, painting, upholstery, flower drying and design, and was a first-rate seamstress. She also enjoyed relaxing on her front porch and was a devoted mother, grammy, and homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Krantz; and stepfather, Lester Stitt. Fern is survived by her husband of 47 years Larry Reslink whom she married June 14, 1969; daughter, Lori Cuneo (Jimmy) of Ripley, N.Y.; son, Jason Reslink (Kelly) of Ripley, N.Y.; siblings, Harry Bennett (Dawn) of North Carolina, Skeet Hamilton of North Carolina, Buster Wilkinson of North East, and Tommy Wilkinson (Lyi) of North Carolina; grandchildren, Haley Reslink, Lauren Reslink, Tom Cuneo, and Zane Cuneo; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service is Rev. David Kuchta. Interment will be at North East Cemetery.
