Harlingen - Feliberto E. Zamora, went up to heaven on October 23, 2016. He was born on March 16, 1926, to Eulalia and Rufino Zamora, in Harlingen, Texas. He joined the United States
Army and served in
WWII from 1944 to 1946. He returned to the states and married the love of his life, Miss Eloisa Gonzales. He worked for the gas company for many years while attending night school at the University of Pan American, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. He taught math for many years for Harlingen and San Benito ISD. He is survived by his children, Diana Zamora, Almira Zamora Villarreal, Rene Zamora, Rolando Zamora, Frank Zamora, Mary Lou Zamora and Humberto Zamora; thirteen grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Feliberto was preceded in death by his wife, Eloisa G. Zamora and a daughter, Juanita Zamora Ortega.Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, October 25, 2016, from 4 p.m., until 7 p.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at 7 p.m., at Funeraria del Angel. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas. The family would like to give a special thanks to his caregiver, Dominga Z. Sanchez and her family for their compassion and care. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria Del Angel, Crematory, Mausoleums, and a Dignity Memorial Provider, 2906 S. Expressway 77/83, Harlingen, Texas 78550.
