MARCH-BYE, FAYE EVELYN "Buff" HAUSBURG, passed away on November 19, 2016. Buff (Fay Evelyn Hausburg) was born on July 24, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. She was predeceased by her first husband John March, who died in 1988. Her second husband, Don Bye passed away in 2011. She is survived by her nieces, Suzan Hausburg (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) and Paige Hausburg and her wife Nancy Clark (Richmond, VA) and her grand nieces, Maria Biava (Des Moines, Iowa) and Patricia Biava (Richmond, VA); as well as her step children Jennifer Bye-Deneger and Jason Bye, and her many beloved friends. Buff attended Saint Katherine's Girls School in Davenport, Iowa where she got her nickname. She graduated from Saint Katherine's in 1953 and went on to attend the University of Iowa. After marrying John March, they relocated to Miami in 1960. Buff spent her time volunteering and doing philanthropic work in the Miami area. She was involved in the Junior League, Miami Dade Zoological Society, the Fairchild Gardens, and most recently with the Deering Estate Foundation. She was the President of the Board of Directors at the Deering Estate Foundation. Buff will be remembered by her friends as a strong independent woman who was fun-loving and generous.
