Evelyn J Murphy was born on October 5, 1955, to Barbara and Marvin Jones. Growing up Evelyn was educated in and attended Detroit Public Schools. She graduated from Ferndale High. Evelyn accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She loved her children, family, music, and basketball.

Evelyn worked a few years for USPS and provided 20 years service to FedEx, as a very dedicated employee. Evelyn’s life was full of life with her family, friends, and co-workers.

Evelyn transitioned from this life on May 5, 2019, and will be greeted with love by the Lord in heaven.

Evelyn married the love of her life and Bestfriend Claude Murphy who proceeded her in death on February 4, 1997. They leave behind in total 15 children: Claude Jr, Loretta, Michelle, David, Jocelyn, Patrice, Dennis, Micheal, Patrice, Synethia, Dontria, Kurtis, Thresa, Ciara, and Tiara. A total of 33 grandchildren, 10 great-grand and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins.
