Evelyn Elizabeth WilliamsonLansing, Michiganwas born on June 18, 1935 in Pineland, South Carolina to Katie and Thomas Williamson, Sr. Later the family relocated to Jamaica, New York. Evelyn confessed Christ at an early age. Evelyn moved to Lansing in 1976. After retiring, she spent her time supporting her church, volunteering, and spending time with her granddaughter, Ziquariah (aka Pooh). She was preceded in death by: her parents, Katie and Thomas Williamson Sr.; sister, Patricia Thompson; brother, Reverend Grant Williamson; and niece, Leah Williamson. Evelyn made her transition on March 21, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, John Williamson of Rome, Georgia and Marc (Qunita) Williamson of Lansing; one granddaughter, Ziquariah Williamson of Lansing; brother, Thomas Williamson of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Viola Williamson of Lansing; aunt, Celia Eady of Robertville, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Evelyn Williamson will lie in repose Monday, March 27, 2017 from 1-6pm at Riley Funeral Home, 426 West Saint Joseph Street, Lansing, Michigan. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2017 11:00 A.M. at Paradise Missionary Baptist Church, 3403 Franette Road, Lansing, Michigan. Family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral.
