Evelyn C. Fike, age 91, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, as a resident of the Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA. She was born on September 10, 1924, to the late Walter and Mae (Case) Carberry, in Curlsville, PA. On November 2, 1945, she married Earl "Lue" Fike, in Ford City, PA; he preceded her in death on March 17, 2010. Evelyn was a beloved mother and caretaker who cared deeply for those around her and her home. She was a member of the Kirkman Independent Baptist Church and also a member of the Tionesta Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Evelyn is survived by two sons; Earl Leslie (Denise) Fike of Brookville, PA; James Fike of Florida; One brother, Bill Miller of North Carolina; One sister, Virginia McKinley of Brookville, PA; Four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Walter Fike; One daughter-in-law, Joanna Fike, Three brothers; and one sister. Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 1, 2016, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, Ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville PA, 15825. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016, also at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 2:00pm and officiated by the Rev. James Evilsizor. Interment will take place at the Butler Cemetery in Pine Creek Twp, Jefferson Co., PA.
