Kamke, Evelyn B.Evelyn Kamke, age 71, died peacefully on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Rennes Health Care of Appleton with her family at her side.Evelyn was born on December 7, 1945 in New London, Wisconsin the daughter of the late Albert and Leona (Konkel) Delzer. Evelyn was a New London High School graduate. Following her education she worked as a nurse's aid at the New London hospital. She was united in marriage to Melvin A. Kamke on September 10, 1966. Together Evelyn and Melvin owned and operated Pleasant view Ballroom of Bear Creek for a number of years. She then worked as a cook for Mary's Family Restaurant for several years and created soups like their Chicken Dumpling. She also for a time worked in the housekeeping department at Rennes. She also enjoyed decorating cakes in her spare time. Following her retirement she loved the great outdoors, dressing up for the Holidays, Packers games and especially her grandchildren.She is survived by her children, Matthew (Tina) Kamke, Tammy (David) Wilson, Robin (Sara) Kamke, April Kamke, Teresa Verhoven, and Tracy Kamke, all of Appleton; her grandchildren, Brett, Bradley, Tera, Shawn, Rebecca, Kaylee, Ethan, Destiny, and James (Tori), Tasha, Donald, Jr., Jacob and by a great-granddaughter, Eliza; a brother, Gordon (Sheila) Delzer and a sister, Ione Falk, and a brother-in-law, Marvin Kamke and by several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was also preceded in death by her husband in May 2012, a granddaughter, Ashley and by eight siblings.The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at St John Ev. Lutheran Church N3505 State Road 47 Appleton with the Rev. Jeffrey Suhr and Rev. Andrew Frey officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery Hortonville. Evelyn's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. service will follow. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.Evelyn's family would like to extend a special thanks to Rennes Health and Rehab nurses and staff for all the care given.
