On June 28, 1935, Mamie and Garvis Lowery welcomed their beautiful, baby girl, Eva Odell Lowery. Eva grew up in Nashville on Villa Place surrounded by lots of love, family, and friends; she attended Pearl High school and graduated in 1953. A couple of years later Eva fell in love and married Leonard "Pap" Perkins. In 1956 Eva and Pap welcomed their firstborn Lowery Odell Perkins with two more children to follow a few years later, Conrad Wallace and Lenora Lillian Perkins "Lynne". Eva attended nursing school earning her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. Eva worked as an LPN for many of years in Nashville at Vanderbilt, Parkview, and Lakeshore to name a few. In 2000 Eva relocated, along with daughter, Lynne and close friend to Port Charlotte, Florida where she continued working as an LPN until she retired.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Especially reading, having discussions regarding the Bible and sports with her sons. Due to her sons remaining in Nashville and not being able to visit as much, it was so joyful when having all three of her children together.
Eva was preceded in death by parents, Mamie and Garvis Lowery, sons Lowery and Conrad Perkins, dear cousin Minnie Cotton, and her aunt she was named after, Eva Cardel Lowery Bowman.
She leaves to cherish the memories, dear daughter, and caretaker, Lynne Perkins; dear friend and caretaker, Vickie Phillips. Granddaughters Chenae' and Ericka Perkins, Grandson, Von Ransom, daughter in law, Jan Perkins; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; close friends Sandra Rucker and Dorothy Williams; and a host of other family and friends.
