Estilene (Anderson) Henson87, passed away on Friday, December 30th, 2016. The daughter of Otis and Irene Anderson, she was born on August 28, 1929 in Moss, TN. She moved to Indianapolis in 1949. She was well-known for many years as the hostess with the welcoming smile at the south side Tee Pee restaurant. After the restaurant closed, she enjoyed a successful career in home furniture and decor sales with both Bowman and Emrich's Furniture stores. A devout Christian, Estilene was a faithful member of Bethany Christian Church.Estilene was preceded in death by three siblings; Ralph Anderson, Roy Anderson and Wilma Dean Carr.Estilene is survived by three children; Gwen (Mike) Boffo, Rick (Debra) Henson, Luana (David) Miller, three grandchildren; Erin (Ben) Shockley, Elizabeth Henson, Bryan (Breana) Rothrock and one great-grandchild, Hayden Jones. Estilene will always be remembered for her unconditional love and support of her family.To benefit others, it was her wish to donate her body to the Indiana University School of Medicine for medical research.On Saturday, February 18th, there will be a celebration of Estilene's life at Bethany Christian Church, 4727 South Sherman Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46237. Calling from 2 to 4 p.m. and Christian service at 4 p.m. with James Phelps officiating. Please feel free to share a fond memory of Estilene.
