Esmeralda Trujillo, 93, a lifetime resident of Manuelitas, N.M., passed away on March 7, 2013, at Alta Vista Regional Hospital in Las Vegas.She was born on June 26, 1919, in Manuelitas to Isidro Trujillo and Isabel Padilla. Esmeralda worked for the Sapello Schools as a foster grandparent for 23 years. She loved to dance and cook, and she took care of her father-in-law for 25 years.She was a Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sapello.She is preceded in death by her parents, Isidro and Isabel Trujillo; her husband, Jose I. Trujillo; brother, Felipe Trujillo; sisters, Barbarita Martinez, Juanita Naranjo, Lucianita Trujillo and Victoriana Martinez; sons, Tranquilino Trujillo, Anastacio Trujillo and Estevan Trujillo; and grandson, Patrick Salas.She is survived by her daughters, Eulogia Salas and husband Augustin, Terri Esquibel and husband Mike all of Albuquerque, Fabiola Martinez and husband David of Las Vegas; sons, Alejandro Trujillo and Louis Trujillo and wife Marlene all of Manuelitas; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Secundina Urioste of Las Vegas, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. today (Friday) at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant.Interment will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Sapello with the following as casket bearers: Ronnie Salas, Ramon Herrera, Marcos Esquibel, Melvin Romero, Chris Trujillo, and Paul Esquibel.
