ERROL HALL A celebration of the life of Errol Hall, 77 of Chico will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chico Card Center. Errol passed away peacefully on October 24, 2016 after a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife JoAnn Hall, his loving daughters, Jana Hall and Kim Hall Rhoades, grandchildren John Ackerman, Matthew and Alyssa Rhoades, sister Vicki Chavez and many nieces, nephews and friends. Errol was born on November 18, 1938 in St Paul, Minnesota to Leonard and Helen Hall. Errol attended Shasta High School and served in the Air Force from 1956-1960, and during this period married JoAnn Wilson in 1957. They raised their family in Chico. Errol retired from PG&E after 42 years of service as a Groundman, Lineman, Foreman, and Trouble-man. He received The John A Britton Medal for Distinguished Service from PG&E as Errol rescued a young boy who climbed a tree next to a power pole then onto the pole itself. Frightened, the boy sat on the secondary cross arm a few feet below the 12,000 volt primary conductor and wrapped his arms around the pole. Telling the boy to stay calm and not move, Errol climbed toward him and was able to save the boy. Errol was proud of this moment. Errol was a "Man's Man". He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying deer and elk hunting, bass fishing, camping and gardening. He also enjoyed genealogy, but most of all his family. The family requests that any memorial contribu-tions be made in memory to the Alz-heimer's Association. On-line condolences can be sent to the family at
