RACINE - Erlinda Marie (née: Hernandez) Garcia, 52, passed away one day before her 53rd birthday on July 2, 2014. Erlinda was born on July 3, 1961 in Delavan, the daughter of Julie Theresa Hernandez Flores and Sotero DeLaRosa Hernandez. She was united in marriage to Evodio Victor Garcia Sr. on September 18, 1995. Erlinda found great joy in reading, crocheting, playing Facebook games, various television programs, especially Grey's Anatomy and being a home maker. She is survived by her husand, Evodio Sr., children, Enaitha Altamirano, Alexcia, Luzalena and Juan Jr. Casillas, Jose-Luis Jr., Leticia and David Gomez, Araceli Rios, Eric and Evodio Jr. Garcia. Erlinda is further survived by 20 grandchildren, her mother, Julie Hernandez; five brothers and sisters, cousins, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Sotero DeLaRosa Hernandez and grandmother, Antonia DeLaRosa Hernandez "AMA". Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at11 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery on Kinzie. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
