Emma Mae Edwards, passed Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Emma was born June 15, 1939.

Emma graduated from Phillips  High School in 1957. Emma was a Domestic Worker. Emma also became a nurse in 1990. She was loved by everyone, Emma dedicated her life to Christ at the age of 20, She sang in the choir and would play the piano. Emma and Chester married in 1960 and 6 children were born to this union. Emma was the 3rd child out of 4.

Emma is survived by her husband Chester and their 6 children: Cynthia Edwards Glover (Danny Glover), Mary Edwards Jones (Perry Jones), Cassy Edwards Leigh (Robert Lee), Tyler Edwards (Nancy Edwards), Jay Edwards (Anita Edwards), and William Edwards (Gladys Edwards).  She also is survived by 18 grandchildren, 2 Sisters, and 1 brother. A host of nieces, cousins, family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father.

The family of Emma Edwards would like to express their thanks for all the kind acts shown to them in their time of sorrow. We thank each of you for the hugs, well wishes, food and running errands.

We ask you all to send all flowers to hospitals and nursing homes. And please take all remaining food to the local shelters and soup kitchens. 

Burial will be at Mount View Cemetery in Chicago, Il. Immediately following the services.
