Emily F. Spalding1917 - 2015Emily F. Spalding, 98, of Kenosha passed away on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at St. Joseph's Nursing and Rehab. Emily was born on March 16, 1917, in Kenosha to Willard and Lena (Fuller) Spalding. She attended Kenosha public schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. She was employed with Jockey International, Marshall Field and Colorado. in Zion, Ill., and for 33 years at Lincoln Middle School until her retirement on Dec. 7, 1979. Emily was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, the United Presbyterian Women, Hannah Circle of the church and the United Kenosha Christian Women. She was a volunteer with the United Hospital System Ambassadors and a lifetime member of Safe Harbor Humane Society. She had a great love of animals, especially cats. Emily enjoyed crossword puzzles and word games, tennis, golf and reading.She was preceded in death by, her parents.Emily is survived by, two cousins, Barbara Jo (August) Borchardt and Virginia Olson as well as many friends.Funeral services for Emily will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church (1803 – 83rd Street) with burial to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
