FAIRVIEW, Idaho - Elsie Weidner Flemmer, 91, passed away peacefully at the Franklin County Nursing Home in Preston, Idaho, on April 21, 2010. She was born on Feb. 16, 1919, in Haliday, N.D., to Christian and Rosina Meier Weidner. Elsie was the youngest of 12 children and spent her childhood in Haliday. She was the last surviving child. She married Ardwin Flemmer on June 4, 1939, in Golden Valley, N.D. They moved to Bismarck, N.D., where she worked at Saint Elexis Hospital helping in the dietary kitchen. They moved to Jeffrey City, Wyo., in 1959, then later bought property in Fairview, Idaho, in 1966. Elsie loved visiting her friends from the Cache Valley Church and always enjoyed traveling to see her daughter and many relatives in North Dakota. She is survived by her four children, Yvonne (Delmar) Kruckenberg, Riley Flemmer, Sandra (Wayne) Nelson, and Wanda (Gary) Beus; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ardwin; six brothers and five sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2010, at Webb Funeral Home's new location, 1005 S. 800 East, in Preston, Idaho, with Pastor Dane Weed officiating. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Webb Funeral Home, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
