September 29, 1923 - October 29, 2016Eloisa C. Ortega, age 93, passed away the morning of October 29, 2016 at her home. She was born on September 29, 1923, in Devine, Texas. Eloisa was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Alter Society, Church Choir, Eucharistic Ministers, Crucillistas, and a member of C.O.P.S. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benito A. Ortega and daughter, Dolores. Eloisa is survived by her children, Alamar C. Fernandez, Benito C. Ortega (Margie), Helen J. Gutierrez, and Mary Ann Ortega; her sister, Concha Covarrubia; grandchildren, Elizabeth Gutierrez, Christina Gutierrez, Alyssa Ortega, and Jason Ortega (Mindy); great-grandchildren: Fred Jr., Alisiana, Joshua, Jaren, Amarysa, and Danielle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.Visitation: Tuesday, November 8, 2016, 3:30pm-9:00pm; Rosary at 7:00pm at Mission Park South. Procession departs Mission Park South on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 8:30am for a 9:00am mass at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 4401 South Flores, 78214.
