Ella L. CowanLansingAge 103, passed away April 13, 2017. She was born on November 14, 1913, in Demopolis, Alabama, to Thomas and Cad Lucy Jones.Ella and William had 7 children: Carrel, Bernadette, William, Selena, Doloras (Gary), Patrick, and Michael; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Cowan, Sr., plus 10 brothers and sisters.The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with Msgr. Bernard Reilly as liturgist. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Cathedral Altar Society in memory of Ella.
