RACINE - Elizabeth Jane (Betty) Christensen (Rashleger) passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on September 9, 2014. She was born on May 23, 1923 in Stangleville WI to Nettie and George Rashleger. On October 25, 1943 she was married to Harold (Red) Christensen who preceded her in death in February of 1980. Betty was a homemaker who raised 6 children. She loved to bake and cook for her family who will miss her goodies. Well into her 80’s, Betty provided childcare for many children of family, friends and neighbors throughout the city. She enjoyed having the kids around and will be remembered by all for her great care and kindness. Betty was happiest when surrounded by her greatest love, her family. She is survived by children: Diane Christensen, Lynn (Bob) Evans, Debra Lipari, Donese (Pablo) Jimenez and Neil (Marie) Christensen all of Racine. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kelli (Eric) Beyer, Wrye (Jessica) Oliver, Lindsay Evans (fiancée Creighton Dracca), Jessica Lipari, Heather (Lenny) Allen, Tara Fisher, Ashley Barsaleau, Courtney Christensen, Madeline and Tony Jimenez and Emma Christensen as well as 11 great-grandchildren, Natasha, Abrianna, Hailey, Shaianne, Kaelen, Kayleigh, Nicholas, Addison, Schylar, Paige and Sydney. She is further survived by her brothers Bob, William and George Rashleger. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, daughter Candy, great-grandson Gabriel, brothers Harold, Orville and Larry and sisters Lucille, Dorothy and Marian. Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 13, 2014 at11:00AM at Atonement Lutheran Church. (2915 Wright Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Saturday at the church from 9:30 until the time of services. Burial will take place at a later date.
