Schuster , Elizabeth E. "Betty"Elizabeth E. "Betty" (Hoffman) Schuster, 79, formerly of Pittsville, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Pittsville, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am on Wednesday until service time. Rev. Robert Nelson will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Joachim Cemetery at a later date. Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Betty was born on August 22, 1937 in Marshfield to Louis and Irene (Gruber) Hoffman. She attended St. John's Parochial School and was a graduate of Columbus High School, both in Marshfield. She was united in marriage to Frank R. Schuster on August 20, 1960 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. He died on November 27, 2014. Before her marriage, Betty worked at Northern Auto Supply in Marshfield. After their marriage, she and Frank started their family. She became a stay at home mom and managed Schuster Enterprises. She also worked at Head Start in Cranmoore and Pittsville. Once her children grew up she worked at Wisco Auto Parts, Marshfield. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts, a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church where she taught CCD, was a member and former president of the Parish Council of Catholic Women and a member and former president of the Wisconsin Rapids Deanery. Betty was happiest caring for her family and baking in the kitchen. She was often found tending the family's garden, canning sauerkraut, spending time researching the genealogy of her ancestors and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Anna (Frank) Johnson of Pittsville, John (Janet) Schuster of Switzerland, Kathy (Ron) Stoltz of Stevens Point, Kris (Roger) Theisen of Marshfield, Luke (Rita) Schuster of Cato, Mary Schuster of Wisconsin Rapids and Jim (Sheila) Schuster of Pittsville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Katrina (Greg) Elsen, Matthew Theisen, Michelle (Nick) Burington, Jessica, Joelle (fiancé - Shayn) and Stephanie Schuster, Laura Stoltz, Raynee Schuster, Zak Schuster, Andrew and Jenna Schuster along with many grand and great grand furbabies. She is further survived by sisters-in-law Irene Jonas and Elaine Hoffman. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Frank, a son, Joseph, brothers, Edwin, Raymond, Alois "Butz" and Robert Hoffman and a sister, Marie Susa. The family wishes to thank the staff at Golden Living Center Three Oaks and Ministry St. Joseph's Ascension for the care that was given to Betty.
