Elizabeth Ann White Diaz, 28, Bardstown, loving mother, sister and daughter, died suddenly Tuesday, April 24, 2012. She was born on April 22, 1984. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and Binder Park Zoo. She graduated from Loy Norrix High School in 2002. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in her flower garden, with her children nearby. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth Mahieu, Jack White and Nadine White; and her aunt, Patty Pliley. Survivors include her husband, Julian Diaz; two children, Cristian Diaz and Amelia Diaz, both of Bardstown; her mother, Ruth Ann (William) Toornman Kalamazoo, Mich.; her father, Dennis Alan (Dorothy) White, Bardstown; her mother-in-law, Mary Diaz; her father-in-law, Amador Diaz; her grandparents, Violet Mahieu, Schoolcraft, Mich.; Burton and Joanne Toornman, Portage Mich., and Ruth White, Texas; three sisters and two brothers, Andrea Baxter, Cooper Township, Mich., Keith Toornman, Kalamazoo, Mich., Christy Baginski, Florida, Cathy Lynch, Colorado, and Ben Eimer, Bardstown; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Langeland Family Funeral Home, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave., Kalamazoo, Mich. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pastor Scott Burdick will officiate with burial in Schoolcraft Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Binder Park Zoo.
