TO EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON, AND A TIME TO EVERY PURPOSE UNDER THE HEAVEN: A TIME TO BE BORN AND A TIME TO DIE... (Ecclesiates 3:1-2)
Sister Elaine was born to the parentage of Ernest and Faye Washington on August 11th, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. Early in her life she realized the need of a higher power on which she could rely, and accepted Christ as her personal savior. Sister Elaine Washington captured true essence of Christianity, and spent her formative years in church. She found joy in giving service to the church, and was a virtual pillar of strength for her entire family. For everyone who needed an ear to listen, and a shoulder to lean on, Elaine was always there. She leaves to cherish her loving memories : many people that are not limited to but include her siblings, Ernest Washington Jr, Peggy Washington, Jimmy Washington, Geraldine Wilborn and Darryl Wilborn, Louise Washington and Richard Harlow, Johnny Washington and Yolanda Washington, Thomas Washington, Julie Jackson, Janet Colbert, and Mack Dickerson. Elaine didn't have biological children of her own, but was more than an aunt, to a host of her dear nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other loving relatives, and many dear friends. Her purpose here on earth was truly known as she was a living example of serving Christ to all of her family and many friends to God. She was known for her humor, righteousness, and dedication to her family and God. Truly, an angel here on Earth, her love and rightiousness was known at all times amongst everyone she encountered, and is truly one of a kind without replacement. Elaine will be truly missed in body here on earth, but will remain significant in spirit in all of the lives she touched. May her soul rest peacefully in heaven.
