EILEEN F. DEWALL, 97 POLO - Eileen F. DeWall, 97, of Polo, died Friday, February 13, 2015 at Manor Court of Freeport. She was born on December 22, 1917 in Ogle County, IL., the daughter of Frank and Mattie (Buss) White. Eileen and her husband farmed the family farm in Ogle County. She married Minert "Matt" DeWall on January 31, 1940 in Forreston. Matt died on January 21, 2007. Eilleen was a member of Forreston Reformed Church and the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Marco Island, FL in the winters and arranging flowers and displaying them at the county fairs. Survivors include one son Jim (Melodie) DeWall of Oregon, IL; three grandchildren. Scot DeWall of Polo, Holli (Brian) Sanders of Shannon and Collen (Brant) Dambman of Myrtle Beach S.C.; four great-grandchildren, Kristian, Taylor, Aubrey and Blake. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Don White. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at Forreston Reformed Church. Visitation will be Monday 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Burke-Tubbs Forreston. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Forreston Reformed Church.
