Edwin Roy KoskelaClarksville, TNEdwin Roy Koskela, 86, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare of Clarksville.Edwin was born on October 28, 1930, in Fitchburg, MA to the late Jonas Koskela and Hilga Vahaniemi Koskela.Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.Edwin retired from General Electric as a Plant Manager after 44 years of dedicated service. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was affiliated with the Lutheran Church of America. He was very athletic, having qualified for the Olympics in Track and Field when he was younger and spent 20 years participating in the Clarksville Senior Games.Edwin is survived by his wife, Mildred Towell Koskela of Clarksville, TN and three daughters, Robin Bachkor of Clarksville, TN, Kim (Brian) Terpening of North Carolina, and SueAnn (Tim) Kraft of Birmingham, AL.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County, 940 Tennessee Avenue, Clarksville, TN 37040.Arrangements entrusted to Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
