Jones, Edward W.Edward W. Jones, 65, Marshfield, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 7, 2016, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will take place in Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau, at a later date.Edward was born on March 23, 1951, in Wausau to Harry and Verna Jean (Cornelison) Jones and was a graduate of Wausau East High School. He entered the Air Force on September 1, 1972, serving in the Vietnam War through December 3, 1974. He returned home to Wausau in 1974 and shortly after moved to Marshfield, where he began his career in the healthcare field as a certified nursing assistant at St. Joseph's Hospital. He met his wife, Carol, in Marshfield, and they married on July 23, 1977 at St. John's Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing at Moon Dam as often as he could, camping with his sister, Cathy, family picnics at Mission Lake, and of course watching the Green Bay Packers; he has never missed a game. He also enjoyed watching westerns on television during his down time. Mostly, he just enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is loved and will be deeply missed by so many. Ed is survived by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Carol, and their children, Jolette Jones of Highbridge and Nathan Jones of Wausau, and 3 wonderful grandchildren, Kaitlin, Bryce, and Alessa. He is also survived by twin brothers Jay (Karen) Jones of Duluth, MN, Jerry (Jeanne) Jones of St. Louis, MO, and a sister, Joann (Bill) Jacobs of Fort Worth, TX. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister, Cathy Seymour. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family are appreciated.
