Edward J. Powroznik1928 - 2015Edward J. Powroznik, 87, of Twin Lakes, Wis., died Wednesday evening March 11, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family.Edward Joseph Powroznik was born on Jan. 8, 1928, in Chicago, Ill., the son of the late Joseph and Bernice Drost Powroznik. On Feb. 5, 1955, Edward was united in marriage to Wanda Martyka. She preceded him in death on May 10, 1997. On Sept. 4, 1999, in Bristol, Wis., Edward was united in marriage to Pamela Sebastian. Edward moved to Bristol in 1963 and to Twin Lakes 8 years ago.Edward served as a Seaman in the U.S. Navy from July 25, 1945 until discharge on Dec. 16, 1948. He served aboard the USS Passig and USS Teton. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and a good conduct medal.Edward owned and operated the Bristol House in Bristol for 46 years. He was also a master machinist and worked at Abbott Labs and Nestles. He was a member of the Kenosha County Tavern League and the Schultz Hahn American Legion Post #293 in Silver Lake, WI. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes.Edward is survived by: his wife, Pamela; three children, Elaine (Neil) Manker of Salem, Wis., Susan Gorlinski of Silver Lake, Wis., and Michael of Salem, WI; two step children, Tracy (Jeff) Hansen of Salem, Wis., and Tony (April) Luttrell of Wheatland, Wis.; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two on the way; five sisters, Dolores Seweryn of Crestwood, Ill., Gienevive Tazic of Burbank, Ill., Joyce (Stanley) Kleszczewski of Chicago, Ill., Leona (Charles) Martinek of Burbank, Ill., and Loretta (Mark) Schuman of Mesa, Ariz.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015, at St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes with Fr. Terry Langley officiating. Interment will follow in St. Scholastica Cemetery. The Powroznik Family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday March 20, 2015 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc.
