He graduated from South Charleston High in 1955 with numerous lifelong friends. Eddie retired from Union Carbide Corporation in 2001 and enjoyed golfing and traveling with his classmates. He coached youth sports and refereed sports for many years. He was a member of South Charleston First Church of God. Eddie was preceded in death by: Father, Armour B. Ewart; mother, Nell Ewart Vogt, sisters, Martha Champ and Viola Lane, wife, Cassandra Ewart.Eddie is survived by: Son, George Armour Ewart, daughter-in-law, Cynthia Diehl Ewart, Knoxville, TN. Grandchildren, Julian, Cleveland, OH; Mallory, Chicago, IL; Alec, Knoxville, TN. Sister, Blanche Harrison, Charleston, WV.A Service to Honor the Life of Eddie will be held at 11am, on Friday, November 10,2017, at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston, WV. Burial will be at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, WV. Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, November 9, 2017 and one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
