Born to parents Edward and Masseline Moore, Edna was determined to succeed academically. Upon graduation from the University of South Carolina, Edna moved to Detroit, Michigan. Edna would go on marry Elmer Anthony Bean who preceded her in death in 2003. Edna worked as a Licensed Vocational nurse for over 60 years. Working in various specialites and demographics, Edna was a servant to the people. She believed that helping others was her call and destiny for her life. Countless people have been touched by her warmth, caring and dedication to make someone else smile. Her spirit was contagious, bringing positive energy with an encouraging word.
In her later years she became an court appointed advocate for special needs children and served as an ambassador for the Southeast region of the Special Olympics. Edna Louise Moore-Bean's impact will live on in spirit and those that she has left behind here on earth. She know can join her husband Elmer and son Elliot whom preceded her in death. Edna leaves love and her foundation principles with her surviving sons Anthony, Keith and Reginald; her grandchildren Andrea, Andre, Kenneth and Corey; her great-grandchildren; Jordan, Eryn, and Kamryn and a host of extended family and friends. Edna is now in with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in an eternal rest. As Edna would always say "I just want to hear Him say, job well done, my true and faithful servant".
