Edmund H. Ollmann 82, beloved husband and father, died peacefully on November 28, 2012 following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. A resident of Santa Fe, he was born on August 11, 1930 in Racine, WI, the son of Mary and Carl Ollmann. He graduated from Washington Park High School. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin, and a C.P.A. certificate, he was hired by Arthur Andersen & Co. Following two years of service in the U.S. Army Audit Agency during the Korean War he returned to the Milwaukee, WI office of A.A. & Co. On September 25, 1954, Ed married the former Janet Spencer. In 1968 he was elected to partnership in A.A. & Co. and was transferred with his wife and three sons to Paris, where he was in charge of the firm’s European tax practice and training. During his career he was also assigned to offices in London and Los Angeles. Upon retirement he and Janet moved to Santa Fe in 1990. Ed was an elder, a deacon, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe. He belonged to the Don Quixotes, a men’s club. Ed was an enthusiastic golfer and avid traveler. Business, pleasure and educational trips took him to many countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa. He will be fondly remembered for his sharp mind, keen sense of humor and deep devotion to his family and friends. Ed was predeceased by his parents, and sisters Jeanne Scott and Beverly Rasmussen. He is survived by Janet, his wife of 58 years, sons Kurt Stephen Ollmann (partner Dr. William Lavonis), Mark Spencer Ollmann, and Scott Erik Ollmann, a cousin Elaine Anderson, a niece and nephews. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on December 29th at the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe.
