Edith J. Vessels84, of Fowler, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. She was born on September 26, 1932 in Chase, IN to Ethel and Ruth Whitus.Edith worked for Purdue University and retired after 15 years.Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her kids and grandkids. Family mean't everything to her.Edith is survived by her children, Jackie Vessels of Fowler, IN, Tom Vessels of Fowler, IN and Bernie (Sandy) Vessels of West Lafayette, IN, a sister Louise (Francis) Weller, and a brother Jimmy Whitus. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, Danny (Jeni) Vessels, Ashley (Roy) Adams, Scott Vessels, Michael Vessels, Dustin (Jennifer) Vessels, Michelle (Jon) Vessels, Megan Vessels, Clifton Shuee and Chris Maze, 19 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Vessels, daughter Sharon Ann, son Larry Duane and 8 brothers and 1 sister.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at Windler Funeral Home, Fowler. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Fowler Cemetery.
