SpringfieldVotaw, Edith Begley,age 88, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. A native of Washington County, she was born on November 15, 1927 to the late Clell and Lena Mae Settles Curtsinger.She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church, a graduate of Mackville High School and a retired employee of the former Cowden Manufacturing Company.Preceding her in death was her first husband, James Begley, her second husband, Howard Votaw, three daughters, Deborah Crouch, Donna Begley and Barbara Begley; two sisters, Mary Ruth Curtsinger and Iva Jewell Walls and two brothers, Rollin Curtsinger and Davis Curtsinger.Survivors include a sister, Evelene Wall (Sherman) of Louisville; a brother, Melvin Curtsinger (Eleanor) of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Inos Curtsinger of Willisburg; a brother-in-law, Tommy Walls of Bardstown and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 29th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Cal Adams, officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home, 216 East Main Street, Springfield, KY, 40069.
