EDELIDIA RODRIGUEZ Smith Funeral Homes Ltd. & Crematory Edelidia Rodriguez, age 80, of Grandview, WA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in Yakima, WA with family at her side. Edelidia was born on February 16, 1936 in Donna, Texas to Lucio and Eugenia Tovar. Edelidia met the love of her life, Agapito O. Rodriguez and was married June 6, 1955. They began their adventure by moving to Prosser, WA shortly afterwards and spent 61 wonderful years together untill Agapito's passing on July 7, 2016. Edelidia is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Jose Tovar and Lucio Tovar Jr., husband and infant daughter. She is survived by her siblings: Lucinda Ramos, Dora Gonzalez, Alicia Tamez, Gloria Gonzalez, Sylvia Trevino, Maria de Lourdes Tovar and Roel Tovar. Edelidia was a loving mother who is survived by her children Diana (Ray) Salinas of Yakima, Joe A. Rodriguez of Grandview, Alberto Rodriguez of Prosser, Alfredo (Irene) Rodriguez of Ellensburg, Frances (Raul) Gamboa of Grandview, Antonio (Sofia) Rodriguez of Kennewick, Margarita (Russ) Davis of Lewiston, Lydia Hovland of Mill Creek and Anita (Jon) Dennis of Prosser. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Even though you have moved on to a better place, you will live on in our hearts. We love you. Viewing and visitation will be held Friday, October 28, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Grandview, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview, WA with burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, WA.
