Duane Leonard MoserOctober 11, 1943 - December 17, 2014Duane 'Leonard' Moser passed away on December 17, 2014 after a 17-month battle with cancer, with his family gathered around him. Duane Leonard was born on October 11, 1943 to Alfred and Johanna Moser who preceded him in death. The third of five children, Duane Leonard grew up on the family farm north of Nampa, Idaho where he acquired his morals, values, and faith that would guide him throughout his life. Duane Leonard began his education at St. Paul's Elementary Grade School, and graduated from Nampa High School in 1961. He attended Idaho State University prior to starting his career as a conductor with the Union Pacific Railroad. Duane Leonard retired in 2005, after 43 years with the UPRR.Duane Leonard Moser married Diana Blunk on December 14, 1996 at the St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nampa, Idaho. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Diana Blunk Moser; sons, Darrell and David Moser; from a previous marriage, stepdaughters, Denise Aggen and Brandi Hamilton; brothers Vincent Moser, and Raymond Moser; sisters Marlene Thurston and Carol Ann Seitz; along with 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 pm Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho 83651. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Monday, December 22, 2014 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 510 W. Roosevelt, Nampa, Idaho 83686.
