Bohlman, Duane M.Duane M. Bohlman 73, of 1588 Sherwood Drive, Custer passed away Thursday August 23, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.Duane, better known as "Tubby", was born on January 14, 1944 in Wausau, son of the late Esther and Melvin Bohlman. He would marry Darlene Aanonsen on June 15, 1968 in Wittenberg. They would live in Stevens Point for a short time before moving out to the Polonia area where they would reside until their passings.He entered the Army out of High School and later would graduate from UWSP with a Bachelors Degree in Education and went on to earn his Masters Degree as well. Duane worked at Sentry Insurance in Stevens Point for 30 years before retiring in 2001. He loved hunting, fishing, working on projects and spending time at the cottage with family and friends. Tubby possessed a quiet, yet great sense of humor with such statements such as "Don't thank me, thank God I had it". He cared about his family deeply, and was always there to help. Grandpa was a great maker of breakfast, a hunting companion and a fishing guide who always provided the licorice and treats for the grandsons. Patient and understanding described Dad and Grandpa. He will be remembered for his friendship, kindness and his enduring love for his wife and family.Survivors include two sons, Mark (Tammy) Bohlman, Kronenwetter, and Michael (Mary) Bohlman, Stevens Point; four grandsons Ethan, Keegan, Gabriel and Drew; one brother Jerry (Ilene) Bohlman of Clintonville.Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 29, 2017, at St. Paul Lutheran Church Stevens Point. Pastor Steve Hulke will officiate. Military Honors to follow the service. Visitation on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Pisarski Funeral Home 703 Second Street Stevens Point and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
