Dorothy C. Martin1912 - 2013Dorothy C. Martin, 101, of Payson, Ariz., formerly of Kenosha passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2013, at her home with her daughter by her side. Dorothy was born on July 16, 1912 in Kenosha to Nick and Catherine (Widman) Wallig and she attended Kenosha area schools. She was married and had six wonderful children. Dorothy was a nursing assistant for many years at Kenosha Hospital until her retirement. She was a life-long member of St. James Catholic Church. She had a garden of flowers, vegetables and fruit trees that she was very proud of. She enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and spending time with her cousins, Rosemary and Edith. Dorothys greatest joy was the time she spent with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by, her parents; her dear son James Martin her grandson, David Christenson two sisters, Marie Gascoigne and Sr. Mary Reginald; three brothers, Joe, Ray and Bob Wallig and her special friend, Warren.Dorothy is survived by, four children, Joan Collins of Kenosha, Gerald Martin of Pleasant Prairie, Judy Dullinger of Arizona, and Michaline "Mickey" Christenson of Arizona; 39 grandchildren; many great and great great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at St. James Catholic Church with interment to follow at St. George Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
