Dorothy L. Fernandez, of National City, passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014 at West Branch Regional Hospital, age 83. Dorothy was born on Jan. 29, 1931 in Smithville, Tenn. and worked as a licensed beautician for many years. She enjoyed cooking and she had a strong Christian faith that helped her through life. She was a former member of Banks Cumberland Church in Smithville, Tenn. She is survived by her husband, Manuel "Poncho" Fernandez of National City, two sons, one daughter, three grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
