Dorothy Jean Duncan, age 83, of LaFollette, passed away on Friday, Feb. 12 at her residence. She was born on Dec. 1, 1932 in Anderson County to the late Charles and Beatrice Wilson Disney. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rocky Top. She was a loving mother, raising four children on her own, and loving grandmother.Dorothy was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football and golf, as well as playing baseball with the children in the neighborhood, an activity she enjoyed well into her 60s. She also adored her dog, Sugar.In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by, brothers, Floyd; Paul and Robert; sisters, Louise; Barbara and Janice.She is survived by her children, Suzanne Watson and husband, John; Gemmie Smith and husband, James; Eddie Disney; Scott Duncan; brother, Richard Disney; sister, Christine Phillips; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.Services were held Feb. 17 at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating. The family will have a private burial.Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
