Family will greet friends from 3-6pm on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Brucker Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark, OH 43055. Burial to be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Bellaire, OH. Dorothy Jean (nee Smith) Plant-Elliott, age 88, of Newark, passed away on January 27, 2017. She was born on October 25, 1928 to the late Daniel Hunter and Edith Belle (nee Bosley) Smith in Martinsferry, OH. Dorothy lived in Bellaire, OH, Wheeling, WV, and Newark, OH. She is survived by her sister, Carol Boyles, of AZ; daughters, Sharon Bellville, of Newark, and Janice (Chuck) Sinfield, of Rockhill, SC; grandchildren, Michael (Deborah) Frewin, Melissa (Chuck) Ross-Merkel of Lyman, SC, Shane Ross, Devon Rusciano, Joshua Thompson, Patrick (Mallory) Thompson, Kasey and Jacob Plant; great grandchildren, Kristina (Jarrod) Justice, of Pataskala, Brandon, Ericka, and Cameron Frewin, of Newark, Hunter (Kristen) Merkel -USMC, of NC, Toby and Emma Rusciano of Cadiz, OH; great great-grandchildren, Leah and Layla Merkel of NC and Katelyn Justice of Pataskala.
