Dorothy E. Warwick passed away at age 86 on Thursday, July 21, 2011 in her home at Emerald Spring retirement community after a long fight with cancer. Dorothy was born on September 24, 1924 to Fred and Alma Sadler in Wright County, Iowa. As a young woman she followed work to Alaska where she met her future husband, an Alaskan miner named William Massie Warwick. They married in August 1952. Massie and Dorothy mined gold with his brother Andy in several Alaskan Districts until back problems forced a move to Great Falls, Montana. There Massie started Western Office Equipment with Dorothy by his side. 20 years later they happily baked in the sun for the next 30 years. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Massie, sister Darlene, and nephew Zack. She is survived by numerous nephews and nieces. A special mention to the Staff (Family) at the Emerald Springs retirement community, you make it a home, and to Phyllis Hildebrand who with Dorothy would weekly go shopping, gambling, boozing, and chasing men. There will be no service per Dorothy's request, but instead maybe a toast to her smile when you sip a next beverage. Also consider a donation to Hospice Compassus whose people go way beyond the call of duty. Please sign the guestbook at
