Petrashek, Dorothy E.Dorothy E. Petrashek, age 92, a lifelong resident of Two Rivers, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc. She was born on December 15, 1924, daughter of the late Edward Sr. and Elsie (Sonntag) Bunke. Dorothy attended Koenig School, St. John's Luther School and was in Washington High School Class of 1942. On June 15, 1946, she married Daniel Petrashek at St. John's in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2002. Dorothy then moved into Delwan Apartments and transferred from St. John's to Our Savior Lutheran Church. She was employed with Paragon Electric until her retirement after 36 years of service. Dorothy's first trip out of Wisconsin was on a flight to Charleston, SC to help with her first grandson, 25 years later she and Dan went with us to South Carolina to pick him up from his end of duty in the Marine's. Grandchildren changed her everything in its place way of life and great-grandchildren really changed it. She was very active in her community, being involved with the Two River Historical Society, Two Rivers Senior Center and Hamilton Memorial Home and especially like working with the kids at Koenig School. She really enjoyed sharing letters with her little pen pals.Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Sharon & James Ernst, Two Rivers; two grandchildren: Patrick (Marilyn) Ernst, Two Rivers, and Scot (Karli) Ernst, Plainfield, IL; four great-grandchildren: Ethan, Joshua, Abigail, and Daniel; and three step-great-grandchildren; her brother: Herb (Marian) Bunke, Two Rivers; a sister-in-law: Marie Cisler, Two Rivers. Dorothy is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She is further preceded in death by her brother and his wife, Edward Bunke, Jr. And Celia; a brother-in-law and his wife, Max and Lucille Petrashek; and a brother-in-law Joe Cisler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2140 34th Street, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Keith Tullberg.
