Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Archie, 77, of 462 S. Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill, SC entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Post Acute Care Center, Rock Hill, SC. She was born on August 25, 1938 to the late Newton Barber and Idell Barber. She was member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.She is survived by daughter and caretaker, Cynthia Knox (Bernard), Dorothy M. Archie both o Rock Hill, SC; son. Gary Archie (Susan) of Rock Hill, SC; brothers, Eddie Barber, Alphonso Barber (Paulette) both of Rock Hill, SC, Rev. Charles Barber (Christina) of Albany, NY; sisters, Betty Brice, Frances Reddic, Minnie McCullough (John), all of Rock Hill, SC, granddaughters, LaQuita Archie, Kizzy Archie; grandsons, Tavarius Archie, Gerald Archie; 4 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 12-1pm at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral service will begin Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 1pm at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church officiating Rev. Gary L. Walton.Burial at the church cemetery.Parker Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
